Indian Professionals Community – West Midlands

Connecting, supporting, and celebrating our community across Birmingham and the wider West Midlands

“We are a family away from home — a community of Indian families united by shared roots, warm chai, and the belief that no one should navigate life abroad alone. We exist to welcome, support, celebrate, and uplift every member of our community across Birmingham and the wider West Midlands — from the seasoned professional to the student who has just landed with one suitcase and a hopeful heart.”

Our founding principles

One family, many stories

We bring together Indians from every profession, background, language, and region, because our diversity is our strength and our shared identity is our bond.

No one left behind

Whether you’re facing a tough day at work, feeling homesick, or simply need someone to talk to, there is always a hand reaching out. We check in, we show up, and we care.

A cup of chai and an open door

Our love of tea is more than a habit — it’s an invitation. Every gathering starts with a warm cup and an even warmer welcome, because the best conversations happen over chai.

Guiding the newcomer

We remember what it felt like to arrive in a new country. We pledge to be the first friendly face for every new Indian arrival or student in Birmingham — helping them settle, find their footing, and feel at home.

Celebrating who we are

From Diwali to Eid, Holi to Baisakhi, Onam to Christmas — we honour every festival with joy and togetherness, keeping our culture alive and vibrant on British soil.

Knowledge is seva

Our members bring expertise across banking & finance, IT, engineering, telecommunications, healthcare and beyond. We share that knowledge through guidance, mentorship, and practical support.

Roots and wings

We honour where we come from while embracing where we are. We are proudly Indian, proudly part of the West Midlands, and proud to call Britain home.
